Description

The Remington Model 1911 R1 is a full-size, steel-framed 1911 pistol that stays mostly true to the original GI-issue sidearm with some slight modern adjustments that enhance the design.

The tiny, hard to use fixed sights have been replaced with large 3-dot sights that are easy to pick up. The ejection port has been lowered and flared to enhance reliability. In order to comply with some state regulations, a loaded chamber indicator has been added. A match-grade stainless steel barrel, stainless barrel bushing, and stainless trigger round out the major differences from the original 1911 pistol.

The Remington Model 1911 R1, and all of its components, are 100% American made.
